Dillon is 2!

So it has been quite some time since I have made a post. And my excuse is that I am now a working Mom and my priorities have changed and updating the blog is at the very bottom.

So Dillon turned 2 and he is just the most fun! He loves playing outside and tormenting our dog Randi. Currently he likes to push the broom around outside or the snow shovel or his tricycle. He just brings so much joy to all of us!

So much talking!

Dillon is walking everywhere and talking about everything, well at least he understands what he is saying but we don't (well Grandy thinks she understands him.....).

He loves to water the flowers and he will pick up the watering can on the porch and try and open the door to get the water and water the plants, then he will point downstairs like hello lets water the ones down there too. So smart!

Dillon is Walking!!

So Dillon made me the happiest mommy in the world and started walking before I went back to work. He really has taken off over the last 3 weeks and loves to just get around. It is so fun! I will get some video up this weekend I hope.....

He has almost an entire mouth of teeth which has its pains for both him and us of course, poor guy! All 8 front teeth and 3 molars and a few other teeth, so just 1 molar to go.

He is doing really well with our babysitter that comes 4 days a week when Chris goes to work until I get home. They have a lot of fun together which is a relief!

New Job!

So I know the blog is supposed to be about our little guy Dillon, but Mom has a new job! I am officially no longer a stay at home Mom and working for a great organization, Indiana Sports Corporation as their Director of Youth Programming. I started last week and hit the ground running for sure. Our office is located downtown in the Pan Am Plaza so I have a heck of a commute. It has been a change for all of us and we are just getting used to our schedule right now.
Dillon is almost 15 months old and teething like crazy, which doesn't make him super happy to say the least. I miss him so much during the days but Chris is doing an amazing job with him at home. Dillon is walking and talking baby talk which his Grandy seems to understand but no one else does.
I hope to post a couple videos over the weekend. This is one of my favorite family photos from Dillon's 1 year photos in March.

Dillon turns 1

Dillon turns one and I can't believe it. What an emotional roller coaster, especially for me! We had a family only celebration on March 5th and an extended family party on March 12th for Dillon and all the other March birthdays (Blake, Dad, Jacob, Tim and Wendy) and then on March 13th we had a surprise party for Grandpa Joe in Batesville. We went out to lunch with Mom and Chris on Dillon's actual birthday.

Since then, Kelly Applegate took Dillon's 1 year photos and he is so talented with the camera and all of them are so good! Here are just a few! It was fitting that we took them at Butler as they won the first game in the Final Four!

Dillon is so close to walking it is scary! He has a little wagon he is now pushing on his own at home and a little red car that he is pushing at Grandy and Grandpa's house. It is so fun!

Here is some video

Dillon turns 1

What a year and how our lives have changed! Dillon turns 1 on Thursday the 10th and we couldn't be happier! He is such a joy and brings so much joy to our lives. We had a party on Saturday for our family and he had so much fun playing with everyone and opening his presents and the cake of course! We had a pretty cake for the adults and a cake for Dillon to destroy. In the end he loved the big box and the ribbon and the balloons. How simple!

He had more fun playing with the cake instead of eating it though.....

Lots of Firsts

Well with Dillon turning 1 next week (omg!!) we are experiencing many firsts. We turned the car seat around yesterday so he can face forward and boy does he love facing forward. So much more cool! Dillon has 7 teeth which isn't anything new..... Dillon had his first haircut and he didn't like it so much. It was kind of special b/c Mark cuts Chris's hair (and he styled it at the church before we got married for him) and he cut my hair a long time ago. Dillon sat on my lap and just cried.....but he now can see so that is a plus.

more firsts and video to come
